Our great Aunt Ardella….
The cottage was Aunt Ardella’s home from the time it was built in the 1940s (by our grandfather, her brother-in-law), to the time of her death in 2017. Many of her posterity and friends have fond memories of gathering at her home through out the years.
She was the daughter of pioneers and that spirit and her spunky, positive attitude sustained her through some really difficult challenges in her life. We hope to tell her story more in upcoming blogposts, but she is at the heart of everything we do here, and hope that by welcoming people into her home they can feel a portion of what we felt when we visited her in our youth.
